Tags and Keyword Research

Tags are another useful tool to rank higher in search results. You can make use of the Jaaxy or TubeBuddy platform to help you get the right tags for your video. The TubeBuddy tool is used by many professional YouTubers; it shows your ranking for keywords used in videos.

In SEO, using the right keyword is the most crucial part. I have shared some strategies with you earlier on how to get all possible keywords because you cannot think of them all.

Google has two tools that you can use to get keywords; Display Planner and Keyword Planner. I will advise you to use Display Planner because it suggests not only keywords, but also tells you those that are being searched for.

Keyword Research Tools

1. Jaaxy

Jaaxy is the most advanced, yet simple-to-use platform for managing and optimizing all areas of market research, website, competition, and keyword.

With more than 500 million keywords being searched daily, an advanced tool like Jaaxy is completely designed to offer accurate competition, traffic, and domain intuitions into millions of search phrases.

2. TubeBuddy

This is the most used search tool, and it is easy to use. It comes as a Chrome Extension and can also be downloaded as a mobile app. The good part of the app is that it shows you how your channel will rank based on the content you have there.

3. YouTube Studio

This platform provides you with keywords that are currently driving traffic to your existing video; you can optimize these keywords for better ranking and traffic. Use the steps below:

  • Go to YouTube Studio
  • Click on Toolbar and select Analytics
  • Click on Reach Viewers
  • Click on the source of traffic, YouTube Search
  • Select any of the keywords displayed to show more info.

After getting the keywords that are driving traffic to your site, optimize your description to include those keywords, and also use them as tags.

4. VidlQ

Many people don’t know that VidIQ is also a keyword research tool. It has some features that can help you increase your ranking.

Conclusion

Try to make your videos lively and compelling to the audience. When making a tutorial video, always make use of the caption and transcript feature; it helps your audience understand you better. Follow the steps highlighted in this tutorial and your videos will rank higher.

Thanks for this training Israel. I have just come out of trying ways to get more attention to my YT videos. I discovered YouTube Buddy and following the tips, I saw big improvements. Other things that might have contributed to the improvements are redesigning the thumbnails, and making sure keywords were on the file before uploading. Thanks for the tip on research using YT studio.

I did not know that TubeBuddy was a Chrome extension. So, when I download it, will it automacially link to my YouTube channel if I am logged in with my account?

Thank you very much for sharing Israel.

Enabling the text option in you tube is a good way to understand the articulation of the words spoken.

Exactly true, Meenaf! Just open the transcript feature in YouTube and convert everything in videos to text. Thanks for your contributions!

Oh! I thought something like speech to text function. So I still have to manually transcribe, right?
