Site Verification
As well as onpage SEO guidance Yoast will also enable you to verify your website in the Search Engine Webmaster Tools.
This is simple and works effectively in just a few moments. Yoast will verify your site in Google, Bing, Alexa and Yandex.
In the images below I'll show you each step and how simple it really is. You'll see I've already linked to Google and for this demonstration I'll now link to Alexa.
Don't worry if you don't have webmaster accounts with any of these 4 search engines as you'll be able to create your free accounts with each during this process.
Yoast Webmaster Tools Screen
You'll see the search engines in blue links above...lets click Alexa Verficiation ID.
The following page will appear in a new tab...
enter your website URL in the box and press continue
decide which method you prefer... I always use method 2....and you should as well in Yoast
You'll then see your Alexa Verfication ID in bold at the top of the screen and also (highlighted in blue) in the tag...you just need the numbers...not the entire string.
Remember youll have 2 tabs open (YOAST and ALEXA). Go back to the YOAST TAB and paste the alexa verification ID number in the Alexa box...then save...see below
Once you've saved this number into YOAST go back to Alexa Tab and click Verify ...as below
You'll then see...
Congratulations you now have an Alexa Webmaster Tools account and you have claimed ownership and verified your site in super quick time and super easy manner!
To verify your site with the others the process is pretty much identical...
On the same note, I've seen a few other WA members espouse the positive experience with Yoast (which seems to have a tremendous impact on site rankings), which makes me wonder why we are taught to use AIO SEO here at WA instead.
In any case, I see you're now based in KL! All the best there... Let me know if you ever decide to pop by Singapore. I think it's a great idea to meet fellow WA'ers from around the world :)

I printed out the instructions on installing Yoast and everything else associated with this training, but I have one question. I have asked this before somewhere else and was told to refer the white question bar above. Either I'm not using the correct wording or my question simply isn't there. So Jason, what the heck are outbound links??? Please help me understand this obviously important step.
Thank you,
Rae Anne
Thanks in advanced Anke
