One of the most important things for you within the Wealthy Affiliate platform is your Profile page. Your profile is your face to the community.

I recommend that you start with a good picture of yourself.

Here's an exercise for you to demonstrate that people will judge you by your picture. Look at the two pictures below.

• Which one would you rather have sit by you on an airplane?
• Which one would you rather have babysit your children?
• Which one would you rather ask advice from?
• Which one would you rather buy a product from?

You really don't know anything about these two men, but yet you judged them by their appearance. The same thing happens everyday as people look at your profile picture. It's worth a few minutes to put up a nice photo of yourself if you want to have the community engage with you.

The narrative portion of your profile is just as important. Tell us a little about yourself. Tell us why you joined Wealthy Affiliate. Tell us what your internet marketing experiences have been so far. Tell us about your hobbies or passions. Give enough information is that others can relate to you and have a dialog with you.

The last thing for your profile page...tell us your name, or what you like to be called. Just like when you meet someone for the first time and shake their hand, you greet them with your name. This allows others to communicate with you in a more personal manner.

I also added all of my social media accounts to my Profile page so that people can easily connect with me if they so desire.
