Gratitude/ToDo List

First, I find it extremely important to include gratuity, appreciation and opportunity. Without too much discussion on this, a daily observation of these things make your ToDo list more meaningful and helps give diligence where it is due. You may be surprised to find that you have more opportunity than you've ever given thought to! It also shows how many people actually help you move forward. The ToDo List also has a section for Accomplishments in which you can record what you've done for others.

Of course, the ToDo List includes that which you will be doing the day for which the list is written. I keep my list limited to five items...the most important, high-priority listings to be done.

Use Your Blog as a ToDo Workspace (suggestion)

A number of times, I've tried intently to work with a ToDo list. I have failed miserably at this, but at the times I've engaged in them, I've gotten things done. It is all a matter of persistence and discipline...two attributes worth embracing.

I've re-purposed my WA Space as my Day Planner in times past. Why?

It's public.

It is one more step towards commitment as you are more inclined to get it done when others can see in. With that you need discipline. This works for me. It may not for you. In any case, you need some sort of system where you can mete out your important engagements.

On ToDo lists, I consider the following be on it:

  • Gratitude (helps you appreciate what you have and what others do for you!)
  • Opportunities (Helps you recognize opportunity These are not always evident!)
  • Today's ToDo (Prioritize from most to least in importance.)
  • What I've Done in Today's ToDo (Helps you keep track of what you've done.)
  • Tomorrow's ToDo (Do this in the evening before retiring.)
  • Plan B (Nice to have when things don't go the way they should!)
  • My Accomplishments (Something to show for your efforts!)
  • People I Appreciate for the Day (As above)
  • My Task Bank (Optional: Keep a master list of ToDos in one place!)

It is Very Important to Schedule Out Your Day!

Are you in a job that you don't like? Sad folks are forced to take jobs that lie outside of their interest levels because it's something they must do for survival. It's like being in a prison without bars.
