Pay Yourself First...

Working is often associated with the middle classes and the poor. However...

Getting up early, even on a Saturday, depriving yourself of TV time and other fun things may seem out of touch with being a wealthy entrepreneur. Remember that in order to be the best, just an an athlete, we must exercise and drill ourselves to do the kind of things that seems like more of the same that we are already doing with our time...being busy. Do the affluent need to do this? You bet!

Many folks are misinformed and carry incorrect beliefs that millionaires do not work, and spend their time living in sheer luxury where it's playtime all day long. After all, don't they often have teams that do the work for them? On the contrary, many, in fact, most millionaires remain industrious throughout their entire lives - but do so in their own term. It is very true that very successful entrepreneurs have teams to do the work they shouldn't be doing. I say this, because it isn't a matter of simply doing the menial stuff. It is a matter of leveraging their time to get the most out of it.

We should do this ourselves!

Education Is An Investment

Many jobs do not allow the use of personal electronic devices such as cell-phones and mp3 players. This is unfortunately the policy in many workplaces, especially in lower-paying positions. Even worse, some of these very positions allow only 30-minute lunch breaks and quite often, no other breaks. Many workplaces are so noisy, listening to training materials through headphones can be futile.

Unfortunately, being in positions in life we often find ourselves, we are not at liberty to live life on our own terms. However, just because a person is rich, doesn't mean he or she is exempt from education! The wealthy too, are under time's restrictions just like we are. Some things are fun to learn and others are not. Rich or not, we must put in the time to learn. Time (and money) are the essential to the investment of education. We all must do it, and this means work.

Educationional Advice from the Wealthy

About 5% (roughly) of all folks in the United States and certain places in Europe have made the grade with financial independence and living lives in their own terms. Of all the advice our wealthy friends give, the one piece of advice that is almost always amongst the top five is, not only get educated...but get the right education! In terms of making the grade, this is how we pay ourselves first! The money will follow.

Not all education is equal, and knowing what stuff to learn and what to leave alone pays off!

Along with the exhortation to learn, being disciplined and tenacious to engage in the nitty-gritty of educating one's self are two more "musts" often touted in advice given by the wealthy.

As the Saying Goes, "Just Do It!"

We all have bad hair days at times. Mastery isn't all up hill. It can persist upon plateaus and even take nosedives from time to time. Most wealthy folks did not start out wealthy, but lived lives of poverty and hardship until they took a stand to do something about it. For many, the journey to true freedom came at a great price...and that price goes beyond money in all respects...time!

However way you can sheer off wasted time and re-purpose it to your education is paying yourself first! The greatest men and women that have lived to leave legacies began their quests towards mastery. Painful as it can be, the one unanimous things that prevails in each is not letting the process distract from the goal ahead!

Are you in a job that you don't like? Sad folks are forced to take jobs that lie outside of their interest levels because it's something they must do for survival. It's like being in a prison without bars.
