Introduction - Relevance is the Key to Success

If you think that your product choice alone will determine whether or not you are successful online, then this tutorial is going to help you out significantly. You could have the best product in the world, but if you do not deliver a pitch to the proper audience then you are not going to make a dime. TOO MANY marketers make this mistake!

Too much emphasis is put on finding the perfect product to promote online, rather than finding out who your customer really is.

We have created this resource to explain the most important component used in aligning a customer with a product: RELEVANCE. If you are having a difficult time making money online, this is probably your weak point. Regardless of what traffic you are driving to your page, your ad copy, your landing page and the product you are promoting, all need to be aligned. If you do not align all of these elements through relevance, you are going to have a heck of a time becoming a highly successful Internet marketer.

This tutorial is going to help you fill in the blanks and show you how to become a relevance marketer. A relevance marketer is a successful marketer!

The Flow of Relevance

A sale always starts with a keyword. Keyword selection is very important to an Internet marketer, and we recommend that you put a lot of thought into your keyword research before actually building your campaigns. If you still think you can make money without a relevant keyword, if you were promoting a product like Wealthy Affiliate, you're very WRONG. We have created a full section dedicated to Relevant Keywords within this tutorial.

The next aspect of the flow diagram is the actual grouping of your keywords. It is important that you implement the common keyword technique when you create any ad group. This will ensure that all of your keywords are relevant and grouped properly. If a keyword does not make sense in an ad group, then you should take it out. It is perfectly fine to have ad groups with fewer than 5 keywords, but it is not OK to have an ad group with 50 keywords (not including all Google match types). Relevance sells, so keep your ad groups tightly related.

A click is an action that needs to take place in order for someone to even get to your website. Without a relevant and enticing ad, you are not going to get this click-through. You need to make sure that your ads are highly relevant to not only the keywords, but the offer you are going to be presenting to your consumer.

Finally and most probably (and importantly), a relevant landing page should include relevant content that drives your potential consumers to a relevant product offering. It happens too often that people just create one broad page and send all their traffic to that. People get the keywords right, the ad right, but then when it comes down to the landing page, people miss the consumer's needs by a mile! Make sure you have relevance on all your pages (and this may require you to create several pages).

The closer all of these components are to being aligned, the better off your conversions will be. We will be discussing all of these aspects in greater detail on the following pages.

Hi Friends,
In the CLASSROOM > Keyword, Niche And Market Research:

Is it me or am I seeing the same tutorials again and again on the TUTORIALS Page? Are there really 46 tutorials?

The only ones that seem the same (but aren't) are the ones that talk about content. I thought the same thing as you but once I got further into the training and understood exactly how important "quality" content is, I realized why so much of the training revolves around the topic. Hang in there... tutorials are quick and easy to understand. You will get addicted to this and not want to stop learning!

Very many people have commented on my ability to write. This is great but it hasn't been making any income for me, for a plethora of reasons.

Many of them are addressed right here in this tutorial. My first mistake has been the not going into these tutorials as I should, being a member of a training program...and that in spite of my saying this should be done.

As for my writing, I have been going back and finding articles I've put on EZA, my old campaign and so forth. Not only do they lack the relevancy, grouped keywords and expertise, the writing in them is quite disjointed. I'm not sure I've improved much over this, but I can readily see it in my older work.

I'd do myself a great justice by removing it all and starting from scratch. This does not include my current campaign. For lack of a better term, all the work I've done last year on Yabba-Dabba-Dooo is awful.

My retention levels are rather low, meaning, I have to read things more than one, or even several times before the information is retrievable. I say retrievable because there's no problem with it sinking in...it just does so to the point it becomes inaccessible. I strongly believe there is much less of a problem with "retention" therefore. Retention and retrieval are two completely different things and it's the second I believe cause the problem in learning.

Ever have the experience of a word or a concept suddenly come up in mind...years after the actual learning experience? How about dreams? This morning a certain Greek word came up in my sleep (apekrithe) and I've not used this word since. I retained it but I have not ever been able to retrieve it (or even tried) but it came up out of the blue. Yes, I looked. It is a word...and is one that I had learned.

If you are not getting out of these lessons what you think you should, rest assured that you are...you just can't bring it up out of your subconscious. That's faulty operating system of your mind...which can be corrected.

Maaaannnnnn!!! I just had an Ah Ha moment myself! This stuff is starting to click, and I'm beginning to see my errors. I have not been creating relevant pages, I thought the main general one to my WA blog would do. Not so, not so!

Keep to be consistent with short and efficient description in each issue/knowledge, Kyle! I like it, since I don't have a lot of time to reading. This is the feature that I also love most in WA. Great!

@PaintMeFancy: According to "relevance concept" provided by Kyle, I think, one page for one ad will be more effective, because it prevents potential customers to be misleading or disoriented when they're following your information flow. Success 4u!

I am new, my second week. Anyway, with the help of my husband, I do have everything on my landing Page. About 10 different ads. Are you saying each ad should have their own page? On my landing page I have some images and then the links. Did I do this wrong? Help!!

The search patterns example was excellent for understanding relevance and should also be included under the 'Customer Purchasing Lifecyle' Tutorial.

Another recommendation would be to use the word 'specific' in place of 'relevant' at times. The word 'relevant' is not as specific as the word 'specific'. ;)

Several landing pages for one campaign?? If the campaign is about one product, why do you need several landing pages?
