The name of my business is Hana Like No Ka Oi, Inc. Translated from Hawaiian, it means “Working together is the best.”

Margaret Mead said it best, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."

"There are five stages through which a team develops from a simple work group to an extraordinary team. The evolution from stage 1 to stage 5 is an arduous one that only a few get to complete successfully. In a way, these five stages also describe the development of human consciousness, sustainable economies and democratic societies. Teamwork is one of those topics where organizational theory, business management, political theory and human psychology meet to reveal a great deal of knowledge and wisdom that applies to every realm of life.” For the entire article click here. http://www.forbes.com/sites/luisromero/2016/01/20/what-everyone-should-know-about-teamwork/#6237d3f51663

The extraordinary team goes beyond a mentor-student relationship. An extraordinary team forms supportive bonds with each other. They not only work to complete a project, they actively work to support each others careers. In Okinawa they bring half a dozen young people together to form a team that supports each other for life. They call it their Moai. In Hawaii we call it our Ohana, our extended family. Strong support networks tend to develop in isolated communities where our very survival depends on our support network.

In summary, my mission is to create a global team of local organizations and individuals who will will work together to create a better world for all locally, regionally and globally. This website discusses the challenges involved in forming global teams and the internet tools available to help those groups work together.

The tools for international collaboration do not seem to exist in a simple to use suite of tools. Those collaborative suites that do exist are expensive. Such tools are in their infancy. The tools set is improving and rapidly expanding. But for now, we have to assemble the tools we need. The basic toolset is the Google Office Suite which enables team members to work on documents in real time. Thunderbird by Mozilla is an email management program which allows members to manage email and share contacts, tasks and calendars. Free Telephone Conferencing provides my webinar and I use Sendlane for my opt-in list and autoresponder. Social media groups can also help us stay in touch and track what team members are doing.

Can you see how working together can help us all? I’ve just shared with you the tools you need to create a successful on-line business. I'm sure you have tools you are using, like and can recommend. We can introduce potential joint ventures to each other, and through the review and comment process, we can help each other avoid scams and find legitimate sources of income. We will learn together. I’ve been studying internet marketing for the last five years. I’m still learning. We will learn together, share what we learn and help each other navigate this river called life.

  • I have been a conservationist all my life. I want to leave a better world to my great-grandchildren.
  • I believe we should create resilient lives so we are prepared to take advantage of opportunities and to deal with the inevitable chaos that enters our lives.
  • I believe financial resilience must be based on a business we control.

My personal websites are devoted to those interests:

  • kumuwaiwai.com which is a personal website where I post whatever interests me.
  • hawaiienvironmental.org is my effort to help conservationists work more closely together.
  • resilientlivingtips.com is my site designed to help people become personally and financially resilient and to help make their communities more resilient.
  • Bill808.biz will help anyone create an internet business.
