Day 2 [Bill808] Ch. 2 of 5: "Give yourself a raise"

Hi, Its Bill, reaching out to you from Hawaii. Yesterday’s email was a Thank you and a little bit about my story. Today is about you. Are you stuck in a job you don’t really like? Are you not working up to your potential. Perhaps, like me you are working in a job you love, but are struggling to pay the bills. How are you going to send the kids to college? What happens when you get sick? A second job is not the answer. You need a business of your own that you can develop working part time and one that has unlimited income potential.

Imagine the opportunities that are yours when your business income equals you job income. You will have the time and money to do what you want when you want. For good or bad, the internet has changed the way we do business. Being able to communicate with anyone anywhere in the world has made globalization possible. It means your boss can ship your job overseas and leave you wondering what happened. It also means you can create a business you can work from anywhere you have an internet connection.

Whether you are an non-profit organization trying to share your message with the world or a hobbyist who wants to sell your creations, the internet opens the world to you. The internet has changed the business paradigm. Face it. We are in a gig economy. Employers hire when they have a big job and fire you when things get slow. Getting a good education and a job with a big corporation is no longer a viable career path. Even Government jobs are subject to RIFFs, pay freezes and budget cuts. The only income you can depend on is one generated by a business you control.
