Go daddy charges $9.99 a year for their privacy option and it is fairly easy to set up.
Without this privacy protection anyone on the web can look up who you are and what your personal details are.
WA strongly urges you to use this to prevent spammers from getting your info, and I recommend it too.

Remember to search for promo codes before you buy, there's usually one available somewhere. I recently renewed my domains with privacy added free with Godaddy using a promo code. And there are always promos floating around for new domain purchases with privacy added at a discount or completely free.
