GETTING YOUR WEBSITE "PINTEREST READY."

Before you start firing out those Pins and Boards, you need to get your website ready so that it will be perfectly prepared to attract the masses.

CLAIMING YOUR WEBSITE AND SOCIAL PROFILES

When signing up for a Business Account, you will be CLAIMING your website and Social Profiles. Choose your MAIN website you would like to use and fill out the information on your profile. Once you do this, your profile picture will appear on every Pin that originates there or is linked to those areas. You’ll also be able to track the details of what other people are saving directly from your site! Setting up your Social Media information will connect Pinners to your Social Media pages.

USING PINTEREST TOOLS TO SET UP

INSTALL THE SAVE BUTTON PLUGIN: This plugin adds a red and white SAVE BUTTON with the Pinterest logo to each photo on your website. It's full name in WordPress is Pinterest Pin It Button On Image Hover And After Post & Page Content, but you can just type in "Pinterest" in the search.

By adding this button, guests can save / Pin any photo to Pinterest from your website. Doing this expands the vision of your site to others as well---and your link will be attached to it, so others can see your content! It's a real brand booster!

FEATURING YOUR PINTEREST PINS WITH A WIDGET ON THE SIDEBAR

As you develop several pins on a board, you can then make a widget to post on the sidebar of your site, or where you see fit. You can find the WIDGET BUILDER link below. Click on the Widget Builder option and create a custom widget.
