Finding a Niche Market
We have mentioned ways to find a niche market. Some of us are lucky enough to have an existing business that we want to take to the world via the Internet. I mentioned that some friends of mine sold doll parts and greatly increased their sales by going on the net. A neighbor here in Idaho grows lavender and makes lotions and such which she sells to retail outlets and on the Internet.
I think I also mentioned the fellow that loved to juggle so he started selling juggling equipment and guides on the internet. There is nothing like doing what you love to do. Just make sure there is a market.
But most of us have to search for a niche. Some marketers say it doesn’t matter if you start with the product or the niche. Well, the product had darn better fit the niche or you will be a big flop. So, why not start with the niche?
It has been suggested many times that DMOS, Ebay and Amazon are great places to find a niche. True enough. But maybe there is a niche that is not there that you could miss. I believe it was Kyle or Carson (or both) who said to be aware of what is going on around you. Newspapers and magazines are great places to find a niche.
I mentioned a free program called http://ubersuggest.org/ to quickly find every keyword in the universe which I can take to JAAXY and find what the competition looks like. http://ubersuggest.org/ is really fast and it will save some time on JAAXY. This tool should give you a good dig for a niche or one hundred niches or more. This tool tells you nothing about the competition. It will give you plenty of ideas to pursue. Nothing is cheaper than free.

Interesting> I had a marketting Prof. who drove a GM X car so he never forgot the basics. Those were 80-84 cars that were brought out too soon, had many defects, were improved immensly by 84 but it was too late, the reputation of the brand was ruined. what was his name? Malek Daboul. Lebanese.
