There are a couple URLs you will need to know so you can plug them into the code for your new widget.
Flipboard ID
First, navigate to your Flipboard profile page in your browser. Look under your name and you will see your user ID. It starts with @
To get the URL of your Flipboard profile page, add your user ID to the main Flipboard URL like this:
https://flipboard.com/user_ID
For example, in my case it would be :
https://flipboard.com/@tlclough
Image Link
The second URL you will need is a link to the image you want to use for your widget.
You can use an existing image from your WordPress media library or add a new one to the library. In either case, click on the image to see the URL.
Make note of these two URLs for later use.

This is quite interesting, Tom but, I guess I'm not understand what flipboard mail is.
On a positive note, my flipboard widget works perfectly just the way it is.
Using the code originally provided by flipboard, and without adding any additional code, my flipboard widget already contains my main photo that I selected from my site and by clicking on the widget, you will be taken directly to my flipboard Magazine/profile.
I believe that is the sole purpose of the widget. Am I wrong?
