There are a couple URLs you will need to know so you can plug them into the code for your new widget.

Flipboard ID

First, navigate to your Flipboard profile page in your browser. Look under your name and you will see your user ID. It starts with @

To get the URL of your Flipboard profile page, add your user ID to the main Flipboard URL like this:

https://flipboard.com/user_ID

For example, in my case it would be :

https://flipboard.com/@tlclough

Image Link

The second URL you will need is a link to the image you want to use for your widget.

You can use an existing image from your WordPress media library or add a new one to the library. In either case, click on the image to see the URL.

Make note of these two URLs for later use.

Bookmarked, thank you.

I cannot add anything to Flipboard, so currently out of business with it.

I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble with it Jovo. Is there some limit on how many magazines you can have? I'm just wondering why you can't add anything now.

This is quite interesting, Tom but, I guess I'm not understand what flipboard mail is.

On a positive note, my flipboard widget works perfectly just the way it is.

Using the code originally provided by flipboard, and without adding any additional code, my flipboard widget already contains my main photo that I selected from my site and by clicking on the widget, you will be taken directly to my flipboard Magazine/profile.

I believe that is the sole purpose of the widget. Am I wrong?

If I understand correctly, and there are a lot of things about Flipbook I don't understand, the widget from them only leads to one magazine at a time. Is that what you are seeing too?

I know some WA members have several magazines associated with each of their websites so I posted this as a way to link to their main Flipboard profile page.

There is nothing about this method that is exclusive to Flipboard except the links. It could be used as a way to create a widget for a visual link to anything.

Me too Forrest. Actually I have a few magazines but only one associated with each web site. In fact, I use the regular Flipboard widget myself. For one magazine it is great.

There are some on here who have a lot of magazines and some even create a magazine for each blog post. They are who I wrote this training for.

Thanks Kav.

Flipboard has been getting a lot of mention here on WA lately. It seems to be a great way to boost your traffic.
