Next, use your WordPress dashboard to go to Apearance -> Widgets. This is where you will make your new Flipboard Profile widget for your sidebar.
Once on the Widgets page, drag a text widget over to the sidebar and drop it where you want your new Flipboard link to appear.
Add the Code
Here is where the magic happens!
Copy this code and paste it into the Content area of the new text widget:
<center><a href="https://flipboard.com/(flipboard_user_id)" target="blank"><img border="0" alt="My Flipboard Profile Page" src="(image_url)">https://flipboard.com/(flipboard_user_id)</a></center>
Replace (flipboard_user_id) with your actual ID in two places and (image_url) with your image link in one place.
Finally, click save to add the widget to your sidebar.

This is quite interesting, Tom but, I guess I'm not understand what flipboard mail is.
On a positive note, my flipboard widget works perfectly just the way it is.
Using the code originally provided by flipboard, and without adding any additional code, my flipboard widget already contains my main photo that I selected from my site and by clicking on the widget, you will be taken directly to my flipboard Magazine/profile.
I believe that is the sole purpose of the widget. Am I wrong?
