Lesson 2: Preparing the Repost
*Note: This training assumes you will be able to download and setup any Reposting app that will work with Instagram. There are several available for FREE through the Google Pay store, and ANY of these repost apps can be used. For a refresher, review to Part 1.
This lesson instructs you how to prepare an image for Reposting through a 3rd special party app that specifically is tailored for reposting Instagram images.
You can download and use ANY of the repost apps, but for this lesson I will use an app called “Repost.”
Preparing the Repost
9. On your smartphone, select the “Repost” icon.
10. Alternately, an easier way to access your Repost app is from the previous screen in Step 8 (Lesson 1), where you can select the Repost Icon on the Top Right of the screen to bring you inside the “Repost” app.
Please note however, that the Repost icon on the top right of the screen will only appear for a few seconds, then will disappear. Once this happens, you will have to go back to your smartphone, and select the “Repost” icon as in Step 9.
11. Select the Repost in the scroll down menu. In this case, we selected “itsdougthepug.”
12. In the next screen, customize the placement and the color of the Name Tag.
We have chosen the Name Tag to appear at the Top Right and the Dark background.
13. Once satisfied with the Name Tag placement, color, and the photo, select REPOST.
14. The “Copied Caption” dialog box will appear on the next screen. With this box, you are still in “Repost”. Select “Open Instagram” and this will take you back to Instagram.
You are now back in Instagram and ready to adjust the filter of your image, write your caption, create your tags, and select all relevant hashtags,
When you are ready, go to Lesson 3 by clicking “Next Page”
Thank you for writing this tutorial. I plan to be setting up Instagram soon and have this bookmarked.
I also have your Part 1 already bookmarked.
You are busy...
Thanks again,
