The problem with your main menu (that was created in menus) is the fact that it is static or otherwise “glued” to the top of the side bar, and an image or logo cannot be placed above it.

To get round this you can create menus within the widget area, in a similar way to the logo that you have just created, and the beauty of this is, you can place them in any order just by dragging the widget (as you did when moving the text widget to the top.

Instructions:

Go to widgets as for lesson two, and look for the “Custom Menu” widget. Add it to the widget area as before and place it below your text widget.

Click on your “Custom Menu” widget and it will open to reveal a “Title” box (as before it is up to you whether or not you want a title I just entered “Main Menu") and a “Select Menu” box, choose main menu. Remember to click on save at the bottom and close.

Next click on “Manage in Customizer” this will take you back to your site header – you will see that you now have two identical menu’s (one may have a title if you entered one) the one that you have just created is the one below your logo.

Click on the small arrow next to the box “You are Customizing Widgets", next click on “Menus” then “Main Menu” Untick the “Primary Menu” box and then click on “Delete Menu” Exit the menus box by clicking on the small arrow next to the “Main Menu” box and click on “Site Identity”

Here you can decide what happens to the remaining text above your logo. If your logo has your site name in it, you might want to take your site name out as you probably don’t want it there twice.

You can also take out your mini description but you cannot move it below your logo. I decided to keep my description as I was happy with this small amount of text being above my logo. When you are finished remember to click on “Save and Publish”

Tasks 0/3 completed
1. 1. Create a Custom Menu Widget and place it below your text widget
2. 2. Delete your main menu
3. 3. Consider removing some or all of your site identity

I am very confused about adding my logo to the SKT Spa theme. It goes on too small. When I try to re-size it , it goes back by default.
