10. Start a Newsletter

MailChimp allows you to quickly create newsletters and set them to send at specific times automatically (as does Aweber). This will enable you to pay attention to your business.

Newsletters are an excellent way for customers and potential prospects to be informed about company news, updates, sales, and almost everything else! It seems absurd not to have a newsletter!

Your newsletter serves one purpose: To keep your customers and fans informed about your business. Regular communication can increase customer engagement, store traffic, social media followers, and sales.

Final Thoughts

It can be overwhelming to start an e-commerce shop. It will seem overwhelming if you don't have a plan. But you can convert curious prospects into paying customers by understanding social media and adapting storefronts to those channels. Customers will return to your site if they find a blog or newsletter that is well-written.

Promotion is key to your success, so take the time to learn how best to promote your blog posts and your shop brand to the world. Consider using a schedular to send your posts to social media platforms every day.

Here are some more tutorials to help you grow:

WoW...lots of great tips here, Lily.
I'm just starting to do more marketing and these will really help.
I'm working on a blogposts and am looking for some places to post them; other than HubSpot I not sure where to post.
Any ideas on where to post would be helpful.

Thanks for sharing this useful post,

Hi Melanie,

Depending on your niche you could consider Facebook, Pinterest, Reddit, Quora, Medium, Webtalk, LinkedIn.

What I did was set up a scheduling plugin so that I could preplan all my social media promotions to give me more time for writing. I use the Blog2Social plugin and you can try it out for 60 days for free and it's cheap to keep. There is a list of social media platforms to choose from within Blog2Social, you just put in your name for those social platforms that you have joined.

When I first started I couldn't get my head around promoting my posts, so I wish someone had told me this back then. Let me know if you need some help.

Thanks Lily, you've given me lots to work with.
I'm promoting a couple of marketing software, and this training is a huge help.
I've also bookmark both sites, will definitely implement the Post Scheduler.
Can't thank you enough.

Hi JarieLyn,

There are a few schools of thought here. Some people feel that you should send one out every other day but personally, I think once a week or even a fortnight or monthly will work. You don't want to drive your subscribers to leave by pestering them.

Different businesses need more and some less, that is why everyone has an opinion on this. Start simple I think. A happy, light email that is short, helpful, and sweet once a week will at least get you started. Better some than none.
