Sharing Knowledge Of Others

Glad you decided to flip on forward and take that peek! It's really great to share the knowledge of others every chance you get, but what's even better, is when you can give credit where credit is due.

So, I try to make it a point to do just that!

It is in my own thinking and maybe yours too that when you write something and folks can comment and add ideas... then you know that you've done something right! Don't you think so?

Here, I'm going to share with you the awesome ideas that this hard working, determined, entrepreneur, KevonWilson had to share:

" ...you can use basically any image program or even Microsoft Word or PowerPoint (which I use all the time).

A couple points to add:

  1. If you can't avoid using a large image, then you can shrink it in http://optimizilla.com without losing the quality of the image.
  2. I prefer to use PNG image formats as sometimes you can get images without any background. This way, you can create any color background you want and the image will fit right in. For example, most images have a white background, so you are restricted in using a banner with a white background, like in your demonstration. But with many PNG images without backgrounds, you can superimpose it on any color background with no worries."

Here is an example of what I did using a PNG image.

  • I just did a search for "wealthy affiliate logo PNG" and got one without any background.
  • I inserted it on a blue background (you canuse virtually any background you choose).
  • I even added a watermark in the background using the same image (I just adjusted the transparency of the image to make it look like a watermark).
  • And I did this in PowerPoint. So simple.

Thank you Kevon for sharing this helpful information and giving great examples!

You're advice on using an online optimizer to save the quality of images, and the .png images are truly great pieces of advice for all to walk away with.

Also, thank you for giving me the opportunity to forward your ideas on to all the readers!! It is greatly appreciated! :o)

Hi Cindy. I used the program called Paint, because it's a pretty common, simple, and easy to use program that most people have and is already pre-installed on their computers.

However, once you understand the process, you can use whatever program works best for you. Some folks like to use Canva, which is another program that is available in both free version and upgraded version... You do that all online, then save it to your computer.

Hope this answers your question, and thanks for checking out the tutorial. :o)

Cindy you don't have to complicate it like she explains it. WA already provides banners like MKearns mentioned.

Hi Monse.

This tutorial is for making "custom" banners... not only for WA, but for anything!

ALWAYS use the banners that are readily available to you if they work for you!!!

If they don't, here's a quick explain of what I mean:

You have a garden site, you want a more garden feel of WA? Create a banner with that veggie feeling!

You have a ballet site. You don't want superboy, or muscle man, or a couch and bunch of bills with the WA log do you? No, instead, you want a soft, ballet feel! Create your own!

If you decided to label your OWN products! Are you going to pay someone else to design your banners when you can do that yourself? Probably not.

The possibilities are endless. :o)

Thank you and how do I use WA banners?

To get banners Cindy, just click on your little airplance up top at the right, go down to banners... once you get there, choose the banner you want and copy the affiliate link into your post by going from the visual tab to the text tab.

Hope that helps. It sound more complicated than it really is. You just have to get in there to see what I mean. It truly is an easy deal. :o)

If you still need help, just PM me. I'll do my best to get you there!

Thanks lots for your great question!! - Paula
