1. You will need to name your new image before you start.
2. You will need to know the specifications for your Word Press theme.

You will see the following box pop up:

To find your Word Press specifications, depending on your theme, you will find theme under your Dashboard, Appearance, Header or Theme Options ==>General Settings ===>Custom Logo, etc.
In this case, I will use an InkTheme Word Press as an example:

As you can see in this theme, under General Settings, the specs for the size of the custom logo is set to 300px wide by 90px high. These are the specs we need to use when creating our logo/header at Pixlr.com

Going back to the box we need to name and add specs to:
1.Give it your logo name - In this case I will name it Our Custom Logo
2. Add your Specs - In this case, 300 x 90
3. Click ok

This is a great tool and makes things pretty simple. When you are ready to take it to the next level and create some really awesome effects, GIMP is the way to go. It is basically a free version of Photoshop. https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/best-easy-method-to-create-a-professional-looking-header-for-websites It does take some time to understand all of the nuances though.

Thanks! I never saw this link when searching for it here at WA. But I will have to give it a shot. When I was on the Word Press forums, when they weren't recommending code, they mentioned GIMP. I looked at that site first, but I have to admit, I was a bit intimidated! But now I think I can give it a shot! Thanks!!
