Editing images with Canva

For the purpose of this training I created a social media image.

The first step is to insert an image (previously loaded) to your canvas. In this case it's a tiny frog sitting on a woman's palm.

Filter

If you click "Filter" in the top left corner, you get an option of making your image brighter or playing with contrast.

Use image effects

Alternatively, you can click any of the offered effects to turn the entire image look different. In this example below, I clicked on "Nordic" which looks like it's missing some colour. Sometimes you may need such an effect to create an image for your post.

Crop image

Crop feature is useful when you need only a part of an image. All you have to do is expand or shrink the crop size and press OK when you're happy with it.

Transparency

Sometimes you want to use an image as a background for your poster. Transparency effect allows you to decrease the colour intensity until you have a desired background for other elements. Here's an example below.

Now, let's see what you can do with text.

Hi, Mudre. Thanks for the great training. I get the same emails from Canva about being an active user and yet I just picked up a couple of good tips! Well done!
