Create a Link from an Image

  1. Yes, make sure you are in the Visual tab.
  2. Click on the picture you want to use for the hyperlink.
  3. Click on the icon that looks like a chain link.
  4. This opens the tiny popup window.
  5. Click on the gear icon to access Link Options.
  6. Paste in the URL if you want an external link or search for and choose your own page or post.
  7. Place a check mark in the box next to “Open link in a new window or tab” if that’s what you prefer.
  8. Click on “Add Link”.
  9. Click on “Update” or “Save Draft”.
  10. Click on "Preview Changes" to open up your post/page in a new tab.
  11. Click on your picture to make sure the hyperlink takes to you the page or post you selected and that it opens in a new window or tab if you chose that option.
