Link to Your Own Page or Post

  1. As before, make sure you are in the Visual tab.
  2. Highlight the text you want to use for the hyperlink.
  3. Click on the icon that looks like a chain link.
  4. Again, this opens a tiny popup window.
  5. Click on the gear icon to access Link Options
  6. Ensure that the link text is correct
  7. Choose which post or page you would like to link to from the list at the bottom of the window.
  8. If it's a long list then you can use the Search box to find your post/page.
  9. If desired, choose to have the hyperlink open in a new window or tab by placing a check mark in the box next to “Open link in a new tab”.
  10. Click on “Add Link”.
  11. Click on “Update” or “Save Draft”.
  12. Click on "Preview Changes" to open up your post/page in a new tab.
  13. Check your hyperlink to make sure it does indeed take to you the page or post you selected and that it opens in a new window or tab if you chose that option.
