Permalinks play a major role in the helping our websites run seamlessly. Many times due to user errors, permalinks get changed resulting in broken links, pages not being found and more. In this training I will show you some of the ways users may unintentionally change permalinks and then I will show how to change permalinks in Word Press for single posts and pages.
WARNING! - Do not mess with the structure of permalinks unless you really know what you are doing! Changing the structure of your permalinks could have a major impact on your website’s SEO. A disruption could very well cause errors and broken links.
Word Press will use the custom structure of /%postname%/. This is probably the best one for most people to use. Therefore, don’t go messing unless you have given much though and have planned for what you want to do. Most of us should stay away from changing the structure of permalinks because we probably don’t have the knowledge and expertise in this area. I’m just showing you this so you can have a better understanding of what your permalink structure is.
