14. Invest in Google Advertising

It is a great way to build a trusted website. This is the best way to start a paid advertisement campaign using Google AdWords and other search engines' products. Your account and website will be more trusted with search engines if you spend more money on paid advertisements that people click through.

Google will rank you behind-the scenes based on your bids and ads over time. This creates a Quality Score for your account. Higher Quality Scores mean that you will be able to bid less on keywords with high competition.

15. Get Rid of All the Mess

Google is very attentive to broken links and errors on your website, as well as pages that require attention on the backend.

These are just a few examples.

404 Missing page: This error occurs when a link to your site breaks or is not available anymore.

These redirects are created by you or your webmaster.

A 301 redirect is required to point to the correct location if a page becomes obsolete or incontinence. Google considers every missing page 404 a huge red flag. It interprets this as a sign you haven’t been properly monitoring and cleaning up your website. This leads to a poor user experience. Google will rank your website lower in the SERPs depending on how many missing pages and how long they have been there.

Google doesn't consider 301 redirects as serious as missing pages. It can send negative signals if there are too many redirects on your site. Google could interpret this as a trick to get visitors to click on different links landing on the same webpage.

Site Analyzer is a great tool to check if there are any missing pages or redirects to 404.

Yea, trust is an important ranking factor in Google's search algorithm, Jim. Without it, there's no ranking. Thanks for the initiative!

HI Jim. I find this training is helpful. The only thing that puzzles me is the phone numbers and addresses put on my website. Why is that needed? Most of WA website bloggers that I see don’t put their contact info except for email due to privacy and spam reasons. I don’t dare do that but if my site is a local business or an agency offering services, is it still required to list address and phone numbers? I don’t see anyone doing that. Unless is a brick o and mortar business. I don’t put my address or phone number due to privacy also the email get too many spam so removed that, spamming ceased.

It really depends on your business. I wouldn't do it for MMO sites, but I would place it in a footer under contact us if I was selling products. There's nothing more infuriating then not being able to contact someone that you've purchased a product from if you need to discuss an issue with them.
At one time (many years ago) I had a mail order website that listed some 600 different varieties of Daylilies that I had for sale. In this case you definitely need to show your phone number and address.
In all other circumstances it's totally up to you. I'm not saying that you have to do it, merely what Google etc., expect.
