12. Do Lots of Engagement

Quality sites should foster meaningful interactions between users. What does this mean? Search engines can measure interaction between users and your website in many ways.

These include:

 How quickly they leave your site and return to search engine results pages (bounce rate).

 How many pages they visited during their visit to your site

Comments on your blog, likes, shares, and comments on social media pages are other ways to engage with your site.

Your site's engagement with users is a sign that you will rank higher in search engine results pages. This is because you are building trustworthiness with these search engines.

13. Update your Content and Create New Content

You must create new content if you want to earn trust from search engines and rank higher in searches. This is where blogging comes in handy. By creating new pages on your website you are allowing Google to crawl it, increasing your relevancy with search engines and visibility.

Your ranking will be affected if you post random content that's not related to your site. Google will determine if your website's content is related to your current site content and if it makes sense.

To get the best optimization results, it is important to update your content frequently with relevant information about your industry and your site. You'll be able to keep your website updated and search engines will rank it higher in the SERPs. Remember that content must appeal to your target audience when creating content. To be able to identify your exact target customer and answer their questions, you will need buyer personas.

Yea, trust is an important ranking factor in Google's search algorithm, Jim. Without it, there's no ranking. Thanks for the initiative!

HI Jim. I find this training is helpful. The only thing that puzzles me is the phone numbers and addresses put on my website. Why is that needed? Most of WA website bloggers that I see don’t put their contact info except for email due to privacy and spam reasons. I don’t dare do that but if my site is a local business or an agency offering services, is it still required to list address and phone numbers? I don’t see anyone doing that. Unless is a brick o and mortar business. I don’t put my address or phone number due to privacy also the email get too many spam so removed that, spamming ceased.

It really depends on your business. I wouldn't do it for MMO sites, but I would place it in a footer under contact us if I was selling products. There's nothing more infuriating then not being able to contact someone that you've purchased a product from if you need to discuss an issue with them.
At one time (many years ago) I had a mail order website that listed some 600 different varieties of Daylilies that I had for sale. In this case you definitely need to show your phone number and address.
In all other circumstances it's totally up to you. I'm not saying that you have to do it, merely what Google etc., expect.
