6) Obtain More Links

Although backlinks are not as crucial as they were once, they still play an important role in building trust. It's not about quantity, but quality.

7) Clear Contact Information

Clearing contact information is essential. Google will be suspicious if you hide valuable information, which can lead to a decrease in trust. Your phone number and address should be clearly visible on your website. You should have consistent contact information across all internet sites, directories included.

8) Get social

A trusted brand is one that has a strong social media presence.

9) Make sure that your website is secure

SSL certification will not only make your customers feel at ease, but it will also help you stand out from your competitors. A more secure website is a website that can be trusted.

10) Follow Google’s Guidelines

Google's guidelines are important to follow. Don't try to manipulate Google with black hat SEO techniques. This will only lead to more problems.

11. Verify Your Business

Google verifies the existence of your business and determines if you are serving real customers. It will validate that your business is real by including a physical address on a website. Your website can be verified by Google once your address has been added. This can be done via a phone call, a postcard, or mail.

This will increase the value of your website with Google. It will also make you more likely to appear in search results than a business without a verified address.

Yea, trust is an important ranking factor in Google's search algorithm, Jim. Without it, there's no ranking. Thanks for the initiative!

HI Jim. I find this training is helpful. The only thing that puzzles me is the phone numbers and addresses put on my website. Why is that needed? Most of WA website bloggers that I see don’t put their contact info except for email due to privacy and spam reasons. I don’t dare do that but if my site is a local business or an agency offering services, is it still required to list address and phone numbers? I don’t see anyone doing that. Unless is a brick o and mortar business. I don’t put my address or phone number due to privacy also the email get too many spam so removed that, spamming ceased.

It really depends on your business. I wouldn't do it for MMO sites, but I would place it in a footer under contact us if I was selling products. There's nothing more infuriating then not being able to contact someone that you've purchased a product from if you need to discuss an issue with them.
At one time (many years ago) I had a mail order website that listed some 600 different varieties of Daylilies that I had for sale. In this case you definitely need to show your phone number and address.
In all other circumstances it's totally up to you. I'm not saying that you have to do it, merely what Google etc., expect.
