Select one branch of the mindmap
Rather than looking at the whole mindmap, I always start with just one part of the map. This helps me to keep my ideas better organised and helps with my flow of thoughts. However, there are no hard and fast rules. Use your map in the way that suits you best.
In the example below I have started with the 'knitting techniques' branch
Keyword research
Using some of the words I have written down I do some keyword research. In this case - I started with the word 'knitting techniques', but this wasn't suitable. Here are some of the keywords I got from using Jaaxy
- hand knitting tips
- simple knitting tips
- knitting instructions left handed
- left handed knitting help
- knitting left handed beginners
- continental knitting left handed
- right handed knitting
- knitting joining pieces
- joining two knitted seams
- knit shoulder seams together
- knitting two sleeves
Choose a single keyword:
I select a single keyword for which I'm going to generate as many article titles as I can. In this example my keyword is the first one on the list - 'Hand Knitting Tips'Go to the next page to see the ideas I was able to generate.

Beverley,
Your posts and training along with Magistudio's (Jay's) as well, have given me more inspiration than you two will ever know. So much so, I am printing out the 4 different writing templates right now! I've also saved some of your StreetArticles that look interesting. Thanks for all of your help...you're a great writer!

These are some great tips, Beverly. I currently have a system in place that I use but I don't believe it's a time-saver. I'm going to try this mind mapping method and see what happens!

This is genius! I've been trying to use an outline format to try to break things down, which has worked ok, but I just spent a few minutes trying out your suggestion and with it not being in such a strict format, it actually flowed pretty effortlessly. Now to work in some extra time for more blog/article posts. Lol. Thank you!
