Generate article titles

Using your chosen keyword try and write as many article titles you can think of in 5 minutes. Don't worry about trying to make them perfect - they can always be improved.

This is the list I compiled for my chosen keyword - Hand Knitting Tips
  • 10 Hand Knitting Tips
  • 7 Hand knitting tips for Beginners
  • 6 Hand Knitting Tips for Left Handers
  • 5 Hand Knitting Tips for Teaching a Left Handed Knitter
  • Hand Knitting Tips for Left Handers Learning from a Right Handed Knitter
  • 10 Hand Knitting Tips You Need to Know
  • 5 Hand Knitting Tips for Experienced Knitters
  • The Best Hand Knitting Tips I Learned From My Mother
  • 6 Hand Knitting Tips for Knitters After a Stroke
  • Discover 6 Unusual Hand Knitting Tips
  • 5 Hand Knitting Tips To Knit Faster
  • 5 Hand Knitting Tips to Join Seams
  • 6 Hand Knitting Tips to Join Seam that Show
  • 7 Hand Knitting Tips You Won't Want to Miss
As you will notice - I have also used some of the words that were on my mind map including right handed, left handed, seams. I would use all these words again as the main keyword in an article

Using other keywords

This technique can be used with other keywords from a single branch Think how many you can generate from an entire mind map. You may never use some of them but it doesn't matter. It's good practice.

The benefits of this approach
The reason why I use this approach is that I always have enough titles to write a blog post and two article topics on a similar topic that I can link to send traffic to my website. It saves me a lot of time

Beverley,

Your posts and training along with Magistudio's (Jay's) as well, have given me more inspiration than you two will ever know. So much so, I am printing out the 4 different writing templates right now! I've also saved some of your StreetArticles that look interesting. Thanks for all of your help...you're a great writer!

Sorry - I hadn't realised the link had broken. I use the free version which is quite adequate for my needs - http://www.mapmyself.com/

These are some great tips, Beverly. I currently have a system in place that I use but I don't believe it's a time-saver. I'm going to try this mind mapping method and see what happens!

Thanks Sonya. I hope that you find it useful. It doesn't work for everyone, but it's a method I use a lot.

This is genius! I've been trying to use an outline format to try to break things down, which has worked ok, but I just spent a few minutes trying out your suggestion and with it not being in such a strict format, it actually flowed pretty effortlessly. Now to work in some extra time for more blog/article posts. Lol. Thank you!
