AIO Social Settings

Okay, with the All-In-One SEO feature "Social Meta" turned on, you now have some new options.

When, you are on your WP Dashboard, under All-In-One, you can click Social Meta and the General Settings are revealed first as such:

In the General Settings, simply ensure Autogenerate OG Descriptions is turned on.

This is how AIO knows to use the Excerpts function within each page or post editor as the description to be used when we share stuff out.

See this training for more:

Now, before we continue, you may be asking "Peej, what is an OG description?" - Well, lemme fill you in on that. OG stands for "Open Graph" This is a new coding protocol used to help social media platforms interact and learn more about your website. For most of us, that's all we need to know. For the inquisitive ones, go here and wear yourself out: http://ogp.me/

Okay, moving on down this page we are then presented with the Home Page Settings for social meta:

Here is where you define the name or title of your website and what image will be shown whenever anyone (or you) do a Share from the home page. Yea, this is "kinda" important, because it's all about branding. So, you may want your logo here or your profile image if you're after personal branding.

Amazing stuff, huh? Okay, calm down..... let's move on.

The next section down is the default image settings:

The image you upload here will be used IF you don't specify a social image on each page or post. I don't have the "Use Default If No Image Found" enabled as you can see above. But, if you enable this and upload an image, it will use this image IF you happen to forget to specify one - which I'm about to show you. :-)

So, again, this is the sharing image that will be used IF you don't tell it otherwise in your posts.

Grand, PJ.

On page 3 under the social profile link settings image, the first sentence, leave that spelling error in if you wish.
Why?
We all need the wonderful release of a good laugh during the learning process.

You're priceless and appreciated............:-))))))))))))))))

PJ, Thanks again for your training. I just ran into something today. When I type my address of my site: http://zootanicals.com I get the dreaded head pic when I'm trying to forward or post on social media. I can make each page do what I want like your training shows but where do I change it so when I type just my main root (my main .com address) the pic I want will appear? Thank you sir.
