The first way to enable POST comments assumes that you have not yet created the post. The process outlined here will put the comment boxes below any posts that have not yet been published. This will not effect any posts that have already been published to your blog.

In the side menu on your WordPress Blog navigate down to Settings and select Discussion:

A page will open with a series of checkboxes.

Enable the 3rd box and uncheck the first 2 boxes.

There is no reason to enable notifications and pingbacks but you will need to enable comments. You can set up the remaining boxes as shown in this image.

When you have finished adjusting the checkboxes, scroll to the bottom of the page and Save Changes

Next Page: Enable Comments when the page is previously published.>>>
