Why You NEED to Learn This
Be it for social media marketing (SMM), Pay Per Click (PPC) marketing, banner advertising or simply to jazz up your initial website, learning to create custom image graphics is a must for an online marketer or website owner. Sure, you can outsource, this but, why? Save some money on the graphics and use that towards advertising budget. I'll teach you how to do this quickly, easily and for FREE!
Components I use
First, I'm all about organization! Create a folder on your computer to keep stuff! Call it Website Images / Advertising Images / My Graphics etc. Then, you might want to create subfolders for topics such as Social Media / My Blog Posts etc. Then, another set of subfolders for the different types of backgrounds - these are your base images. You'll see how these all tie together shortly. Hang in there with me!
Backgrounds
In one of my older WA Blog posts, I provided a list of free stock image resources:

This is where I pull many of my background (or base) images such as this somewhat metallic mesh :
For some tech geeky reason, I just liked this background. I also like the lighting effect. This is the base I chose for my blog post header graphics. While it's cool for that, it wouldn't necessarily be appropriate for an advertisement.
For advertising purposes, I lean more towards people type images. I have read many studies on how young women can pull and convert well for more general advertising. Also, children do GREAT for conversions, giving the viewer that feeling of EASY to do tasks. As I have mentioned before, MailChimp did a great job using a monkey as their logo mascot - referring back to the old adage "So easy a monkey could do it" without saying it.As I used recently, here are a couple examples of advertising background images I found:

Okay, on to more components you'll want to gather before putting it all together! Hand in there!!
