The Free Imaging Tool that will make you look like a Pro!

I'm a former graphic designer and love my Adobe Photoshop and Adobe ImageReady. It was fantastic, but very pricey. Back in the day, we are talking about $500. Then, I had to upgrade to Windows 8 and my old Adobe versions no longer worked and I didn't wanna pay that exorbitant price and it did take a long time to load the desktop version. With so many other graphic designers feeling the same, more products became available and I tested several. Pixlr works great, does many of the basic functions I need and best of all, it's absolutely FREE!

PIXLR

You can start here: https://pixlr.com/

Step 1: Starting Pixlr

When you first go to the website, wait about 2 seconds and you'll be presented with their start screen:

While Pixlr Express is dandy for resizing and a couple of other great features, let's dive into Pixlr Editor so that I can show you how to use LAYERS and create the custom advertising and website graphics that I showed you at the beginning of this training.

So....Click the Launch Web App button within the left graphic labeled Pixlr Editor as shown above.

Step 2: Open base image

You will be presented with the following screen to upload your "base" image - this is my term. Browse your computer and the folder we talked about within the Components section of this training and locate and select a background or base image to begin with:

Yep, just click the "OPEN IMAGE FROM COMPUTER" link as shown above.

Then, just browse your computer, select the background (base) image and click the Open button as shown below:

Great job! Let's move on!
