Step 2. What's Needed to Create a Static Home page

The first thing I did was to look at the requirements for creating a static homepage on my website theme Hiero.

Step 1. Click on Customize located on the ribbon at the top of the website.

Step 2. This brings up the Customization menu in the website's back office.

Step 3. Click on Homepage Settings at the bottom of the list which brings up the instructions and the settings to change from a blog roll homepage to a static homepage.

The Homepage Settings instructions tells me that to set a static homepage I will need to create two new Pages on the website.

1. The first page created will be titled Blog and it is where the posts will be displayed.
2. The second page created will become the new static content homepage.

After creating the two pages, a few changes to the Customizing Homepage Settings need to be done to complete the process but let's take it one step at a time.
