If you go onto your EU Amazon affiliate account, at the very bottom you will see a link for the operating agreement.

In section 10 of that agreement it doesn't say where you have to have the disclaimer but you do have to have it within your site.

I have also double checked with them to make sure this was the case and they confirmed that it clearly had to be shown anywhere on your website.

You're very welcome.

You need to modify it for each country, ie. the one you're showing is just for the EU, you have to add in Amazon LLC for the USA, etc.

Thank you Matt for sharing this important information with everyone. There are a lot of things about Amazon that affiliates need to know. Its vital that everyone reads their agreement before hand so that they do not lose out big time! =) Thanks again.

Oh I know, I've been promoting products from Amazon for 3 months now without any disclaimer, I think I have been lucky

Oh hahaha... Heck yes, you've been very lucky, lol. Lots of people have been canceled from affiliate program because of silly stuff! Amazon is harsh. It's a great program to have because they offer basically any and everything, but man oh man, if you don't go over that agreement, you will be advertising out the wazoo for them, only to get a message saying, sorry, we can't pay you for that because you didn't do this or stick to the agreement... It's really their way to get by without paying peeps I think. Who knows.

That is most certainly the case I think, which is why I put this up so people don't get caught like that :)

Hi Mathew,
Thanks for the suggestion but the link you have provided is not working for me.

I have never put affiliate disclaimer on my site till now, but to be on the safer side and since my AdWords account just got suspended recently, I am thinking of creating a menu (probably footer) as "policies" and put Amazon's, Leo's one and privacy policy all as sub-menus to it.

Hi, which link isn't working for you?

Nothing, that was a mistake on my side. Do you know where I can find Amazon affiliate disclaimer that would be appropriate for someone who is using Amazon.com/uk and ca links?

The disclaimer I have on the last page will cover the UK
