You've probably heard this before, but I'm putting it here because it is extremely important.
If you do not have a passion for that which you are pursuing, you might have the discipline to do it and carry on, but you will come to hate it after awhile, it will be nothing short of a bunch of chores and you probably won't get out of it what you would if you were doing something else with about the same success rate. This of course, is relative and there is no way to measure this.
The more you like (or love) doing something, the easier it is to do and the less work it will seem to be.
Whether you like doing something or not requires discipline. There are also the variables of consistency and determination involved, as well as the interferences of outside circumstances that rears its ugly head in just about everything you will ever set out to do.
There may be good money in doing something that you don't like or that you even hate, but the likelihood of deriving success from a thing like this is slim. In doing so, you would have to have discipline of iron and the ability to put self aside no matter what.
I cannot emphasize enough the importance of making sure you are passionate about what you are doing in this industry because you will be writing about it. If you are not interested in something you're going after because there's a lot of money in it, forget it! Most of us do not have the discipline to do it, and even then, you may make money from it, you will be miserable.
I won't say "Don't do it," but I do not recommend it.
There is a concept of sacrificing things you find extremely enjoying, which offers little value. I will discuss this below.
In our learning curve having a good mindset as recommended here in your training is critical to our being able to get to what we define as success. Totally agree, an overused and sometimes poorly used term, yet if we are careful to define what success means to us, not having it be just monetary, it will help give impetus to reaching our goals.
Thank you for the time you have invested in creating this. Love that it has bubbled up on a surface that includes me. '-)
