Now we come to the final page on this journey, and the journey of your new subscriber.

This is where you get to say "Thank You" and to give them the Free Gift that was offered.

If you used an image of your Free Gift on your Opt-in page, it would be good to use it again on the Thank You page.

Create your Thank You page as normal and keep it hidden as was done with the Confirmation page.

Be sure to include a link to the Free Gift that you have offered your new subscriber.

Once again, DO NOT be concerned with keywords.

The Thank You page should only be accessed as a result of your new subscriber confirming their desire to be added to your list.

When the Thank You page is ready, copy the Link for your Thank You page and paste it on MailChimp on the "Confirmation "thank you" page" dropdown selection as was done previously for the confirmation page.

Now for the Final Step in the creative process -- the "Final "welcome" email" on MailChimp.

This is NOT an automatic email.

It MUST be selected by clicking on the box "Send a final welcome email"

Although this may be the final step in the signup process, it should be considered the first step in your new relationship with your new subscriber.

The welcome email is a good place to offer a quick greeting and to remind them of how they can claim their Free Gift.

This is a great tutorial, although my non-techie self is still having issues. The first form I created on Mail Chimp does not look like the form that comes up when I click on the embedded version.

I read in the MailChump knowledgebase that the embedded form WILL differ in appearance from the form on the MC site. I am in the process of getting this all figured out myself.

Dfishell, the form, as is displays on your website will display differently than how it was created on the MailChimp site, however, depending on the options you choose, the various fields will display

This is incredibly great training. I have been trying to do it since you posted it. I could not figure out how to get the code for the form that I built inside Mailchimp. But I have got a form built. I will let you know through the stages. Thank you so much. .... and Yahoo - I now have an account with Mailchimp. Awesome.

just to make sure, were you able to get the code?

if the instruction was not clear enough -- please let me know so that it can be made more clearly understood

No I wasn't yet. When I go to the embed section, I can only get code for a generic form, not the form that I created under list. I finally chat-talked with a staffer, and they directed me to mailchimp for wordpress plugins instead of telling me where to find the code. I tried their recommended plugins, which required me to change my captcha version. That really screwed up my site, so I ended up removing them and am back at square one, trying to find the code. Mailchimp is not making this easy or perhaps my old eyes are just not seeing the link I am looking for. I will try my old method of setting your instructions on one open browser and mailchimp on another open browser side by side and following you step by step. That may clear my confusion. Thank you so much for all your efforts. I am grateful to you.

I did consider showing the mailchimp for wordpress plugin, but the free version is limited to only one mailchimp signup form

the embed code does change to reflect any changes that are made to the form

the key is to copy those changes and paste them into the your website (I just add a step in between of copying to a notepad first and then to your website)

if you do not change the code on your website, the form on your website will not change
