Step 5: A new window will pop up for the WooCommerce page set up. The set up will show you the basic pages you will need for the plugin, next tab is for your to choose your location. Then you will need to choose shipping and taxes, your payment options, and then your ready to create your first product. Because the plugin works well with your Wordpress site the way you create and add product is the same as adding content. You will create a title, a body description, and you can also add a feature image, just like a normal post/page.

Step 6: To be able to see your store, you will need to go into your menu editor and add the WooCommece page. When you want to see your product list or edit it you simply have to go to your dashboard and click on Products, and just like when you would click pages/ posts you will see a list of all your products you have available. You can open them up to edit them, or you can do a quick edit screen.

I liked how the plugin has a familiar framework, made me a lot more comfortable with navigating through the creation and addition of my products.

Which theme do you recommend? There are a few that are built for ecommerce.

Honestly most themes I have come across have been compatible for the plugin. When you go to install WooCommerce it will tell you if it is compatible for your theme.

I did add the plugin to a site that was listed as 'not tested for this theme', and it works just fine. The layout is a little different from an other site Woocommerce in (that site was compatible) but overall still happy with everything.

Hi Stephania

Was just wondering if Step 4 is there or only me who cannot see it?

Thank you for the training, I was planning to add a store to my site or a plugin that would allow visitors to purchase items so this looks perfect :)

Regards,
Kamil

That's great, I really hope this helps. I'm going to put together phase 2 today with a step by step on how to add your products once you have the plugin ready to go... good luck with developing your store
