Hashtag Removal

The removal of hashtags is simple, just highlight the tag with your cursor and click the x to delete it.

Don't forget - you can obviously only remove hashtags from your own posts that you have created yourself. Hashtags that are used in the text of your post will not be affected.

Opt Out of Having Google Add Hashtags To Your Posts

If you really don't want Google to add any hashtags when you create your posts, all you have to do is navigate to your Google+ Settings page then look under the section called “Hashtags” (near the bottom of the page).

>> Untick the box labelled “Add related hashtags from Google to my newly created posts”.

Now you're in full control of your #hashtags!

I was always wondering how the hashtags are applied. The only ones I have were added by Google.

You and me both, Gordi. There is so much to learn and I wonder if one can really catch up. Thank God for the folks at WA who are willing to share their knowledge to empower the rest of us.
