So I'm trying to get an idea of what other people in my niche (gaming mouse) are doing. Is there a way to find other websites in your niche, and if so, how?
He's not asking what other people in WA are doing. He's asking about what others in his niche is doing. To find out, type
"Your niche + forum" or "Your niche + Websites" and you'll see what people are doing.
I wouldn't worry about what wa members are doing but would spend quite a bit of time googling gaming mouse and everything concerned with it,>>>and going through a lot of websites that show up. The sites in the google results will be your competition, especially those on the first page of the results
I know there's at least one site here that does because when I go to offer Site Comments it comes up a lot for me to review and comment on.
That said a Google Search is your best option for finding sites on gaming mice. Take a look at what they're doing..see what you like and what you don't and then make a site of your own.
If you want to find other WA members with a similar niche, the only way of doing this is to ask the question, Travis. There is no search facility like on search engines to look for sites.
But you can always look on Google to get an idea.

Advice on building my website?
So I'm trying to get an idea of what other people in my niche (gaming mouse) are doing. Is there a way to find other websites in your niche, and if so, how?
Like everybody else says, look on Google. Not everyone is willing to share their website with everyone because people would steal ideas. But you get a pretty good idea of others in the branch. When you have done enough of this course you will start to recognize affiliate websites from interest sites and start to see who your competitor is.
Just googling your product name + review you will also see a bunch of review affiliate bloggers and that can be your example.. now you know who is ranking and who isn't and you can take a look at their stuff to learn from (not copy).
WA doesn't offer that kind of search, but you can ask or look around.. or check people's profiles (when you follow them you can see what sites they might have linked in their profile) and you can ask on chat.
All the best!
Steven

Hi, I read that Kyle didn't know anything about one of his niches before starting, and before writing for my website I want to learn as much as I can about my niche so that I c
A niche in business is a portion of a market that you've identified as having some special characteristic and that's worth marketing to. So what does that mean for us in WA? It means finding a worthwhile segment of the population that belongs to a select group of people. These people will have something in common and will be willing to buy whatever you're selling or marketing. Take baby carriages for example. Lots of folks buy baby carriages. What would be a smaller population of people buying baby carriages? Baby carriages for twins. This would be a better group to target market to than just regular baby carriages. This could be a good niche. I hope this helps.
A niche is an aspect of a wider subject area. For example, 'vegan recipes' is an aspect of 'Health and Nutrition'. I think you have your niche already as you want to promote particular nutrients. So that would be your niche.
...hope you've checked out Jaaxy ... amazing research functions in it... suggest you get acquainted with it... can be found under your profile, under research... hope this helps you...keep going onward & upward!
Search online to find mice that meet your criteria. Start researching them, reviews, testimonials, specs and so on. Get to know them and then start writing about them in your own words.

So i'm thinking of choosing poker chips as my niche, is this a good idea? any advice is appreciated, thanks!
Would agree with Mike, poker might be a better choice, you could even write about casino's and on-line sites if you did.
Stuart
Poker chips might be a bit narrow. Poker might work a bit better.
Keep in mind that you need something that you can plan 10-20 content ideas ahead on, as well as monetize .
Mike
Hi there. Hmmmm... poker chips. Well, I'm thinking it may be too narrow. Ask yourself if you'd be able to write a who blog about poker chips. I think the niche you'd want is poker (online poker).

Id like to get into the poker niche, would it make sense to have my niche be poker chips? thank you for any advice!
Just answered. But I would stay away from Poker niche because there are lots of restrictions on gambling sites.

Im thinking of choosing the gaming accessories niche, like gaming mouses and gaming headsets. I would love to hear feedback from people of what your thoughts are on this idea,
There are a lot of people who want to know which is the best product for what purpose. There are also plenty of merchants you can choose from. It's a solid niche if you are an expert in the topic.
sounds like a good niche to me if it's something you're into.you can write about what you thing are the best controls, headsets, beginners guide to what you need to start gaming etc etc.
