Wasting Time vs Being Productive
I know I am not alone when I say, I have sent so much time online just wasting time. I always wanted to be productive online but never knew how and now that I do know how I never wanna waste time online again :).
Its easy to spend a lot of time online and not do anything. Spending 4 or 5 hours watching funny videos on Youtube or playing games on facebook. Its easy to waste time just from being bored. Why not turn that bored energy into something productive to make yourself money or just to educate open on something that you are very passion about, maybe something you have spend hours online researching.
People who want to be productive when looking for something want to find as much information as they can in one place and if you can be the productive person/place that provides that to them they will not forget it and will come back to you.
How to be productive...
Make a list
- a daily list
- weekly list
- monthly list
- Most important list "your goals"
I also like to brake my list down by what I have to do. Examples
- Training
- Helping others and moving up my ranking in WA
- Posting and building my websites 1 and 2
- Posting my post from both sites on socials sites like facebook, google plus, twitter, ect
- Anything else that I see I need to do
- Goal list weekly, and monthly (I don't go much further then that because I don't wan to overwhelm myself with a bunch of goals to focus on just short, sweet and to the point.)
What is considered wasting time, you ask. I see wasting time as (for example) you go to facebook to post a page you just wrote and 30 minutes later you are still there looking through things that your "friends have posted". Now don't get me wrong its great and fun to do that (yea I am a faceboo addict) however when you were only there to post for your future looking at others content isnt getting you any closer to your goals of building your dreams. Does that make sense?

I'm going to start a list, as I do spend time doing nothing when I have so much to do.... Thank you for reminding me of the reason I joined WA and that was to succeed in my goals
Wow! Tony that's awsome information. Sometimes working from home, we get distracted . Often friends and family think we have all the time in the world to do favors etc.... and times we get caught up in that. There are also times myself a newbie we don't know how to manage time. I hate to ask but maybe you can give me some pointers.
I have to tell you I think the time you spent on FB or YouTube, wasn't as much of a waste of time as you think. I never really did anything on FB or any of the social media, and now I have to catch up.
It all comes down to Focus, I look at this quote several times a day.
“WHAT IS THE MOST VALUABLE USE OF MY TIME RIGHT NOW” -BRIAN TRACY
Once your work is done for the day, socializing with people who share your goals is time well spent.
Oh I agree. However In my "working time". I don't wanna spend it socializing unless it benefit me. If talking about my sites or what I do that's one think but if its talking about my family back home or my kids then its a waste of time to do it while working.
You're obviously very organised. Personally I would move the improving WA ranking off a productivity list - because as nice as it might be it won't improve anything for your own business. You give the example of people wasting time on Facebook - similarly people can use up a lot of time chatting to no effect here. :) Beverley
In my site I offer one on one time with my referrals so that's where that come into the list. It benefits me. :)

Thanks. My husband calls me "the lister" I have list for everything and everything has a list after I became a mom of 2 under 2 I had to have a plan that would hold me together lol. My proven system has saved me many times. ;)
