I am still here
It’s been just about three week since I joined Wealthy Affiliates (WA) and I got to say it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Even if I never make a dime with blogging it really has been so far about the learning experience for me and the icing on the cake is that everyone here at WA has been so helpful it feels a little surreal.
Before joining WA I really knew absolutely nothing. All I knew is that people are out there making money from home and I wanted to be a part of that. I started from the very bottom believe or not I actually stared by first finding definitions for words like niche, SEOs, ranking, and even the difference between a Blog and a Website. That was way back a whole three months ago although, I still don't get what a hashtag means.
Since then I did lots and lot of research, ran into quite a few scams in a very short time. Frustrated, and just about to give up when I happen to find a YouTube video from a guy who refers himself as The Lazy Ass Stoner. His videos were actually pretty good I watched all of them and really learned quite a bit from him but the biggest lesson I got out of that was thinking to myself if he can figure it out then there has to be a way for me to jump on board as well.
So off I go back to researching and weeding out all the scam artist out there trying to figure out who to through money at and who not to. Then it happened, I happened to run across one of Kyles videos for WA., of course at that point my thoughts were oh no here we go again. I could hear my wife in the background; you better not pull out your credit card again. I could not believe how things were happening so fast I was actually online with my very own site within the first week, Crazy I know. So impressed with the lessons and the fact that Kyle and the rest of you all out there with WA community have been so supportive it kinda makes me feel that there is still hope for humanity. lol
Seriously, I thank all of yous for your support. I am having a good time learning something new and making friends, more importantly I know when I get in a jam I have the WA community to get me back on track.

I found the scammers out there, as well. I am embarrassed to admit how much I spent believing all their promises. The up sales were endless.
When I first joined Wealthy Affiliate, I kept waiting for a call from the marketing department. I kept expecting someone to put the squeeze on me to cough up more money.
I was in disbelief that Wealthy Affiliate was offering so much for so little. The training and support were beyond what I ever expected to find on line.
I was not a techie type of person before joining WA, so my learning curve was like yours, steep!
I love it here. I am still amazed how lucky we all are to have found WA.

Tom, this truly is a journey, and an enjooyable one at that. you can succeed here at WA, it just takes some time an effort, but keep plugging away, it will all be worth it in the long run.
