Website Development Strategies - Top 5 Things to Do For Newbies
Was wondering from all you marketing guys if you had to pass on your wisdom to a newbie what would your top 5 things you need to do to make life easier for your business? [no wrong answers, all are welcome]
For me;
1) Make sure the KW is not competitive, why waste time writing for something you can't rank for early on.
2) Build links internally and externally. Linkwhisper is great for that, [Paid tool]. Make sure you don't have orphan posts on your site and link to other informational posts externally on your topic [show Google this is a helpful post]
3) Don't KW stuff your posts - keep it simple 2-3 per post of 1000 words.
4) Do the SEO basics Checklist there is a lot here but worth doing the basics each time.
5) Try to have a catchy title something to make them take a closer look at your post. Something I struggle with but there are tools to help including OpenAI.
OK, now your turn, let's make this a helpful post for newbies if we get enough replies we may come up with a checklist for all to follow.

Maybe when the temps warm up, Mark!
