Stalled Out!

So, I joined Bootcamp hoping that would kick start me again, but I've completely lost all momentum! I have found that I go in spurts. I can write like crazy for a week or two, or even three, but then I completely lose all ability to write for a period of time.

I'm not sure what this is about. I've learned so much, but have yet to really capitalize on it.

I have so much more to learn, but want to practice what I've already learned.

I've been watching Google and the execs change how they do searches. Article marketing is a thing of the past, or is it? The way Street Articles does it, is the way that Google wants it done. But it takes so long for Google to pick up the article you just wrote, which means I should continue to write, because it will take 30-60 days to get the back links working; how do I speed the process, is there any way?

These are just the thoughts and ramblings of me at my most desperate hour. Bootcamp, back to bootcamp. I need to follow through and continue. I got stuck on day 5 or 7, I'm not sure which. I feel I need a break, but if I take a break, I'm not writing and I need to write. What do I do? How do I start fresh? I'm so cramped and attached to this damn computer.

I have to stop and eat, drink, shower. Ugh, shower, how long has it been? My teeth aren't fuzzy, so it must have been recent. I can't think past this keyboard.

Sometimes I can write for others better than I can write for myself, there are people out there that will pay for content, or maybe even proofreading. Just a thought to send your way. Your background comes with an amazing skill set that all of us could use. Let me know if you want to trade 10 minutes for 10 minutes sometime. I'm good for helping folks get unstuck mentally, I can give you the whole Army Bootcamp treatment as well! :)

Organize.

Make a list of topics that you want to write on.
Make a list of things to include in an aritcle on that topic.

Organize your lists into an outline that will flow with your content.
Fill in the missing parts from your list.

Now you are ready to write.
You have your ideas and topics. Just make the ideas sentences and fill in the blanks.

When you are done, write an introduction and a conclusion paragraph.

I find that this exercise will break me out of a funk and actually get the content on a page and done.

This tutorial walks you through the details. This can be done for posts pages or articles. Even Pillar articles if you find the need.

I always knew you were awesome Labman! Thanks.

Awwww, :)

Okay - I am not going to be soft and kind hearted here - sorry. Give yourself a kick up the backside, put your attorney hat on and go back to basics and work in a logical and consistent way.

1. Spurts will never work. They don't and as you're finding they're demotivating. Decide how much time you have to devote to this and stick to it. Doesn't matter whether its 20 mins per day. Three hours a week. Just be consistent.

2. Take the action - don't talk about taking the action. There is a constant cycle, read, take action, review, take action - repeat. Some things will work and some won't but if you're not taking the action it won't happen.

3. It does not take long for Google to pick up an article from Street Articles. It often happens the same day. Loads of us are witness to that - so don't know where you got that statistic from.

4. Make sure you don't sit in front of the computer for too many hours a day. It will just tire you out and make you work less efficient.

Have some fun!

YOU are awesome!!! Thanks for the kick in the ass. :-) Seriously! I love it.

Ohhhhhh, I so relate!!!

Try writing something totally unrelated to to marketing just for fun.

great idea!

You are not alone and I am glad you posted this. I get this way every once in a while I start creating content and doing the courses , then out of nowhere I feel like taking a break. I know if I take a break though nothing will get done.

I am on this computer too much I need to get out and do something lol

Thanks for sharing this it has helped me realize I'm not the only 1 that gets like this

Any time!

Does anyone ever feel this way? LOL. I hope you don't think I'm going into major depression or anything. The above is a work of fiction, however, all good fiction has bits of fact mixed in. I would love to hear from you.
