Site Feedback can be a little discouraging!

And I don't mean because it's too harsh. In fact--it's the opposite!

I really love giving feedback, and have tried to put a lot of thought into all the feedback I've offered.

If it's for design--I break down what I like and don't like and offer suggestions to improve.

If it's for content--I actually READ the article, every word of it, and then offer input based on what I read.

But so far, when I've earned enough credits to submit my site for feedback... well, I've only had one useful comment so far. One of them even admitted they didn't actually READ my article (despite me submitting it under content feedback) and just glanced at it, referencing things already in the article as if I missed them. And one said I had no products and needed an affiliate disclaimer, when both are present.

This is just a late night rant, but it makes me sad. Please actually take the time to read and critique instead of just farming tokens!

I'm sure that good feedback
will eventually arrive. You have the
right to refuse the bad ones.

Have a great day!

Hi Tina - you can ask for feedback on this thread as well.

I gave a feedback once that I felt was thoughtful and helpful. The website owner rejected my feedback so I got a negative point against me. I learned that if one gets several rejections it could result in removal from the board.

That puzzled me. I am hesitant to give feedback now as I don't want to risk this outcome.

Has anyone else had this experience?

Hi - I think you are mixing up comments and feedback, they are two different things.

If you are offering feedback, it should focus on the site design, the content or just general overall opinions about the site and how to improve it. Feedback is personal between you and the site owner, it is not published and the site owner can't reject it.

If you are offering comments, it should relate to the article which has been written and is a discussion about the topic, just as if you had found the site through Google and were a genuine visitor. You cannot suggest improvements to their website or layout etc, as the comment will be published.

If you offered what you thought was a comment, but was actually feedback on the site, then the owner has every right to reject it. If your approval rate drops below 80% you are banned from commenting.

Keep trying. The positive feedback will happen. The more you learn and keep trying the better the feedback . Good luck.

While you may land on poor reviewers, you can still get thorough Site Feedback from good members on the platform. You can always keep trying.

Oh, I know! I have gotten some great comments too, but some of those poor ones leave me scratching my head. I don't mean this in a mean way at all--I just wish people would really think about it. We should all be striving to help each other, not just helping ourselves by quickly spamming a comment just so we can get comments on our stuff.

I am very appreciative of the helpful comments though and thank you for taking the time to respond!
