Feb 7 to 9 Weekend Google Algorithm Update Could Affect Your Website Ranking
I am sharing this for those who may find their website rankings affected recently. Could be up or down. If that is you, it is hoped that this shared article will help you know why?

Just know that your website is not the only affected. There are many websites that are also affected. Just keep doing good SEO, and you will continue to get good ranking.
Also, I know Google constantly changes their algorithm. I am only sharing this because the SEO community on the Internet is saying that this could be a big change. And I only highlight those that are major updates. I don't fill the blog space here with minor updates.
Again, just to help.

Hi Tim, yes I have noticed this on my site, as I had several posts on page 1 and a couple even ranked No1onPage1, then suddenly dropped down. I did nothing and now it seems like they are slowly ranking back.
Thanks for sharing. Good day. Marisa
Glad to know that Marisa. As the article said, businesses too saw their sites going up and down. I do believe when your posts return back to good ranking, it would stay up.
Tim, a Big Thank You for informing us of this important update:)
Thankfully, if there are negative effects, with good SEO we can weather the storm.
Google in the past has often not announced their core updates even though they were implemented. The last Big Core Update (June 2019) was one of the rare instances where Google did pre-announce that an update would occur.
I even wrote a big blog about it here: Google Core Update, What Exactly Is it? However, its very important that people are continually informed about these updates, so they can plan accordingly:) And the link you have provided is an important one:)

My pleasure, Kaju. Thank you, too.
My post in now way diminishes the training here at WA. It is and was never meant to do that. As written in my post, I am merely updating everyone of a major update. One that the SEO community has found to cause ranking changes.
So, I thought to help and share their findings.
And it is for WAers who may not be aware that there was this update, and hopefully it helps them assuage any concerns.
Thank you so much Kaju.
I am encouraged by you to share more.
Thank you, and have a great weekend. :)
It has happened before and it will again. Thankfully, WA teaches good practices and if they are followed most algorithm changes don't heavily impact WA sites.

Thanks Tim for sharing. I did notice one of my post dropping from 5 to 18 for no reason, then slowly climbing back up.
Glad to know your posts are climbing back up, Alfred.
Yes, my post is to inform anyone who saw their posts drop in ranking. So that they know why.
And it is good news to hear that their posts are now returning to high rankings.
