Should You Use AI to Create Your Site's Content?
AI tools like ChatGPT and Bard can be very useful for certain tasks in your business, including content creation.
For example, you can use AI to help you come up with headline ideas and sub-headings within your content, which can not only help you create better, more engaging content, but it can save you a lot of time.
However, you do not want to use AI to create the content itself, as Google will almost certainly be able to detect this and, when it does, you risk your site being penalised and losing rankings and traffic.
In this video, I explain why I say this to help you avoid the pitfalls of using AI while leveraging its benefits within your business.

Thank you, Tim, for speaking out about this. You shared my thoughts when I see so many on the AI-generated content craze. Sadly, they are losing sight of the real human connection with your audience. That's the whole point of Google's E.E.A.T. You have years of experience as a blogger; you know what works. Sooner or later, Google will get to them. I see a lot of 100% AI-generated content ranking, and people are joining in the craze. Google has not penalized them yet. They are accepting AI-generated content right now, and they are ranking them. But I do notice they only stay there for a short time, it drops off.

My method mirrors yours almost identically.
I use AI to create an article outline and then look at my competition on page one to add additional headings. The next step is to select some music to listen to while I write my own content.
The question I really struggle with is the music selection process, so many choices! Lol 😎

With the new policy update taking effect on August 28, 2023, all AI-generated reviews will be penalized and, obviously, some other forms of AI-generated content will not escape the severe flogging. So, it's safer to use an accurate detection tool before hitting that Publish button.
