A BEGINNER'S OVERVIEW
I thought it might be useful for beginners to get a brief overview of what Internet Marketing is all about before getting stuck into all the training.
This is my own personal perceptions, so far, and by no means exhaustive, but it may be helpful to a newcomer.
There is an avalanche of very good and useful information available and one can easily get confused and loose your direction amongst all the information and get discouraged. So it may be helpful to get a view of the “bigger picture” and to always keep that at the back of your mind as you progress through the learning process.
Remember that success is not a destination, but a journey, and patience is indeed a virtue. Anyone can be successful online and no special experience is needed. Everything can be learned over time.
In a nutshell, you have an audience of over a billion internet users who are all potential clients. You need:
1 – A product, or products, to offer them. This will be your niche
2 – You need a website to make potential customers aware of your product
3 – You need a system of bringing potential customers to your website. You may have the best product in the world at the best possible price, but if no-one knows about it, it is of no use.
4 – Most important, you need specific goals of what it is you want to achieve, and by when and you need to be steadfast and determined. Never give up!
5 – When you are successful at points 1 to 4 above, you will get sales and the income will start rolling in.
Now I know that this is very brief, but these five points are really what it is all about. Of course there are many more details that make up these five action steps, but there is excellent training available here in each of these areas. Follow the more experience members and read their writings, then copy their proven success formulae.
Look around, explore, investigate, read, ask questions and apply what you learn.
Good luck with your journey!
