92.3% of internet users access the internet using a mobile phone. There are approximately 4.32 billion active mobile internet users.

The United States Postal Service reports 95 percent of first-class mail within the same city is delivered within two days of the time of mailing.

The postage rate on a 4 x 6 postcard is under $.50 per card.

You can try and figure out the Google algorithm, and research keywords to death, and you will still be wondering tomorrow if your optimization is properly done.

A Click on the Internet lasts a millisecond, then the viewer is distracted by a plethora of information overload.

A physical 4 x 6 postcard delivered by the United States Postal Service will last minutes, hours, possibly days or weeks until the viewer throws it in the trash. Even after it hit the garbage can, the trash man might see it.

Sometimes, old-fashioned technology is more dependable.

Brad that's still about a 1% response rate with snail mail. Compared to email marketing and using social media, online solo ads, and paid-per-click ads. All those, the response and conversation rate is much higher. You get more response rate online as compared to snail mail for marketing. MLM uses postcard marketing a lot. I did a lot of postcard marketing when I was in the mortgage and insurance business working for Countrywide Home Loans (just before the mortgage collapse in 2007 and 2008, Countrywide is now a defunct company) back near Wayzata. It worked then, but now I prefer online marketing rather than snail mail. Thanks for sharing. For your business, I know that snail mail can be effective and putting in ads more face-to-face marketing. I hope your business will pick up more after the brutal winter in the Twin Cities is over.

I believe the response rate percentage is directly related to the product to prospect alignment and the persuasive messaging to trigger an action.

I once got an 80% response from Direct Mail.

The 1% results come from mailing invitations to vegans to attend a BBQ. 😊

Haha that is a good one about the vegans attending a BBQ! 👍🏻🤣

Very true. I think that some of the "analog" methods are best. I still hand out lots of business cards.

👍 Our physical world is much easier to navigate than the MetaVerse is.

So, true. At least for me.

Hi Brad,

A QR code on a postcard is certainly an interesting way to drive traffic to a website.

I guess the challenge would be trying to ensure as far as possible that the cards were sent to households that might be interested in whatever the website was promoting?

Or maybe if the offer was broad enough in its appeal and the cost per card delivered is very low, then maybe targeting isn't so important?

Either way, it's a creative idea

Thanks for sharing
John

Yes John,

Targeting is important.

It is hard to sell hamburgers and hotdogs to vegans and vegetarian’s.

The postage on a 4 x 6 postcard is currently under $.50 each.

I cannot argue with your logic, Brad!

Jeff

You could if you applied yourself. 😊

I have no time to do more than I am already doing, Brad! My physical business is picking up quite a bit now!

Jeff
