Building a Story Brand: Clarify Your Message So Customers Will Listen
by Donald Miller and HarperCollins Leadership
Oh nice I will look at that I bought a course from Dan Miller a million years ago and it was very helpful
Interesting choices.
I have two books that are always by my side and good for personal and business motivation.
Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach
and
Who Moved My Cheese by Dr Spencer Johnson
They are by my side at this very moment and are never very far from where I am working.
I'm glad you brought this up, it will be interesting to see what others suggest.

Bux I agree. I read Jonathon Livingston Seagull in the seventies as did everyone else over the age of 15. I havent revisited it since, and the only thing I remember about it was the quote
"Love never means having to say sorry."
Sadly 41 years of marriage taught me that that statement was not my reality.
I have heard of the second one but never read it, Going to investigate it now.
Could you explain quickly Why Jonathon LS is so important and what you learned from it . This will be helpful to everyone not just a quick reminder for me
Marriage … hmmm!
For me, JLS gives meaning to the words “determination “, “having a goal and purpose”.
I can remember buying this book way back in the 70s, still got it.
As the story unfolds, as you get wrapped up by it, you begin to have a sense of what drives Jonathan, and that that spirit is alive and burning in all of us. We just have to make sure that we don’t allow someone else to blow it out. Jonathan is in all of us.
A fifteen minute read that can alter how you think and act over goals and objectives.

Hi Catherine
I don’t have any marketing book favorites but I’ve read Cialdini over the years.
My three favorite books are:
Da Vinci’s notebooks
Newton’s Principia Mathematica
Spy vs. Spy, omnibus edition
Not necessarily in that order. 😎
Frank 🎸
Impressed Frank.
Was the Principia in Latin, I been learning bits of Latin this year, mostly off gravestones at the Cathedral. Very interesting when you get Google to translate into English.
Bux
Hi Bux
Yes, Newton originally wrote the Principia in Latin and published it in three volumes in 1687. Books 1 & 2 are "The Motion of Bodies," and book 3 is "The System of the World."
Andrew Motte did the last complete English translation more than two centuries ago.
I own a rare 1726 third edition (in Latin) Published by Apud Guil. It's not in the best condition, but it was worth about $25,000 to $35,000 about two years ago at the last appraisal. It's securely stored by a rare book collector in New York.
If you want a less expensive English " study guide" to the Principia (almost 1,000 pages in paperback), here is a link (Amazon USA). I'm sure you can find the equivalent in England.

How about Spy Vs Spy, Omnibus edition?? Have you "read" that???
Most people think it's just a series of comic strips that appeared in Mad Magazine, but I have a master's degree in engineering, and I can tell you it's pure genius! Lol 😎
