Use Your AI Credits Wisely

Our image Studio is state-of-the-art and a fantastic tool. The only issue some people have found is that it can quickly eat up AI credits. So I leave you with the following.

Use your AI credits with care.

Pause before you prompt.
Decide what you want to make. Compile the details into words.
Picture the result first, and before you click generate.

Clear intent saves credits.
Rushed prompts waste them.

Be smart.
Be frugal.
Save your credits for work that matters.

Good Day to you!

Although I'm new to this and sometimes I feel like Alice in wonderland. I can appreciate your sentiments. Just using AI here has open up my eyes to so many business opportunities. I can see where and why I would need to use my AI credits in a way that make sense and pushes my business plan in the way I want it to develop. Although, this sometimes make me feel like a child in a candy store. So many goodies. Thanks for writing this. Appreciated ^_^

I plan to get very good at this. Success is the only option available. That's not boasting, it's recognition of where business activity is going and I'm motivated to get there. Appreciated ^_^

Good morning Michael,

I must admit I'm using the Image Studio quite a bit, it really is a great tool, in fact, I can't believe how good it is, I'm using it all the time! But I can imagine if members are just playing with it too much, that credits quickly get eaten up.

I believe that when we signed up for another year we were all given quite a few credits, I still have 144,000 credits left, so that should see me through the month. I know we were given a load of credits when we signed up for another year, but I am not sure what the standard amount of credits are, is it 60,000?

I appreciate that it's good to be careful with our credits.

Have a great day and thank you for the post.

People are using the credits at am alarming rate and I see a future where it begins to get "Real" so to speak. That is one of the triggers for this post, as I tend to think ahead.

It's always good to think ahead, Michael, as I think every time we use Image Studio, we use 500 credits, I believe. So that quickly dilutes the 60,000 credits, which equals 120 images, and that's without editing!

Have a great day.

I luckily have a lot of credits now, so I can create and update images as needed. I'm actually using Image Studio more to help WA see what al it can make.

I was able to give IS a long prompt showing the contents of an emergency/bug-out bag and it did an amazing image. So good that I bought a rolling carrier like it shows.

That is great Teri. Do you prep as well as post about it?

Well said. This is one of those lessons people usually learn after burning through credits instead of before.

“Pause before you prompt” is really the key. Clear intent almost always produces better results and saves credits — whether it’s Image Studio, writing tools, or AI in general. The tool isn’t expensive; sloppy thinking is.

Framing it as discipline instead of limitation is spot on. When you treat AI like a multiplier for good decisions instead of a slot machine, everything works better.

Exactly Chuck! Good to see you!

Thank you Michael. I am very aware of this!! And yes, I am now very frugal!

There are no competitions for me to win at the moment and I will only get 10,000 credits at the beginning of next month. That is 20 images per month, which isn't much - and leaves none for Jaaxy or articles. I have already stopped using the article writer and will most likely give up using it completely, though I may give it one more try to see what it now produces and what its images are like now that it uses the image studio. (I am assuming that images there still only cost 250 AI credits, but I haven't used it for a while, so I am not even sure about this.)

P.S. I will use the Image Studio mainly for images in picture books where I need consistency, otherwise, as Romy says, I will use other AIs as much as possible.

Good Idea. Make it work when you need it to.
