Minimal Image for WA Promotion: Start, Learn, and Earn

Caption- You don’t start as an expert. You start with Wealthy Affiliate.

Kyle is hosting this week's Challenge- Weekly Challenge: Create the Most Creative Wealthy Affiliate Ad

If you have not yet entered, it is easy to do. Click the link above to get started.

Simple wins more often than people would like to admit.

For those who know me, are aware that I love images. I love to push them and see what new envelope I can create to produce something Amazing. Here are Kyle's exact words from the challenge, including the double-space typo between (motivational and This) for authenticity. Sorry Kyle!

This week’s challenge is all about creativity and putting your design skills to the test!
We’re giving you full creative freedom to design an ad that captures the spirit and opportunity of Wealthy Affiliate. Whether it’s funny, inspiring, clever, or motivational. This is your chance to show what WA represents through your eyes.
You don’t need to be a designer to participate... just bring your imagination, open up the Image Studio, and start creating!

Here is my take on simple imagery, why I used it for the contest, and why it works.

A clean and clear image gives the viewer only one thing to notice. One thing to feel. One thing to act on. A busy one, on the other hand, like when people try to shove every idea into a single image, quickly becomes a chore. You give them a job to do by making them decide what exactly you are trying to convey.

I believe in marketing the K.I.S.S. principle is a wonderful thing. If you are new and have no clue what that means, it stands for "Keep It Simple Stupid," and yes, it is actually a thing.

Your mind reacts faster to a plain shape, a clear line, or a single message. You don’t have to think. You just get it. That’s the edge simple images have. They guide your eye without effort, allowing you to focus on the main message and not a Hemingway novel in image form.

Even when you are running ads, that first second decides everything. You don’t get time to explain a story. You don’t get time to show every step. You only get time to make someone stop for a single heartbeat. A simple layout does that better than any crowded design. People will not waste time trying to figure out your Picasso puzzle, which you wasted time constructing to perfection.

In my opinion, my simple image effectively captures attention. Why? It has three stages, three frames. The path is clear without trying to sell too hard. It simply tells them what to do. Start, Learn, and Earn. That's it, Nothing more, and nothing less.

That’s the power of simple.

It lets the viewer breathe for a moment. And in that moment, they’re more open to your message. And that, my friends, is why I used the above image for the contest.

Thanks for motivating us Michael

I agree simple is always the best strategy no matter what we are working on. Fancy can at time confuse your audience instead of wooing them

Indeed it can my friend. Stay focused and deliver your idea with simplicity.

1

Well this is GREAT news for me because I am the EXPERT at simple. My website articles are also quite simple because I am focused on the creation of content so far with embellishments coming later. MAC.

3

Michael, I would rather hear you take time on a post and do it well, rather than put out 10 that do not provide value. Quality over Quantity is best.

2

I just thought about asking ChatGPT how I can add more quality to my articles. I will try that because I am not sure I can make right content choices on my own.

2

Sure you can. Just write like you are talking to me in a normal conversation. It is that simple. Explain to me what you are talking about and solve a problem I may be having.

1

OK Will do.👍

Thanks, Michael.

You convinced me to try it.

This information is logically sound if you think about it. When you are browsing, do you read entire labels or scan for quick information.

A lot of times it depends on how tired I am, Pennywise. ;D

I do tend to read whole articles.

I’ve never picked on somebody I didn’t like. Remember that.

2

I did the same - your reason makes perfect sense. I'm glad I read your post.

I had a different reason - Kyle posted the challenge when it was already late in the evening for me. I didn't want to wait until the morning, so it was gone midnight when I did my challenge images. I know the image generator can't deal with lots of text without making mistakes, so I kept text to a minimum. I couldn't face having to go to Canva to fix any typos.
